Python - the elixir of life

"Python has been an important part of Google since the beginning, and remains so as the system grows and evolves. Today dozens of Google engineers use Python, and we're looking for more people with skills in this language." -- Peter Norvig, Director of search Quality, Google Inc.

Python is one of the simplest object oriented languages around and it doesn't throw any tantrums!! I was fascinated by the beauty of this language. And seriously speaking, I have always hated pointers as an engineering student...I always wondered "Why can't there be a simpler approach? Do we need the pointer crap all the time?" Python has an answer. The syntax is not ad hoc and it won't bite you if you become a bit careless too. Easy to learn, easy to develop and no fuss!!! Awesome thing! Hope people around start to learn the importance of it. And I wish many more companies come forward and embrace this language. Stop wrestling with the artifacts of the language rather than concentrating on your application problems. Want to get on Python??? Log on to www.python.org And remember its born free :-)

Look out this space... for more news on Python... my first love **blink blink**
